Remote MAC BridgeIf placed in "promiscuous" mode, the PXS Ethernet controller can intercept all Ethernet packets and route them according to the selected protocols (LAPB, LAPD, Frame Relay, and X.25) and destination. We have implemented a self-learning bridge, where a received packet, either with a broadcast or with an unknown destination address, is forwarded to all other connections. The packet's originating address is stored in a routing table.
