The PXS as a DLM Hardware TapThe PXS can be used as a hardware tap to monitor any synchronous line. One of the PXS synchronous ports monitors the DTE side while the other monitors the DCE side. Two special "Y" cables are used, as illustrated below.
The firmware running in the PXS captures all data and signal events on both ports (i.e. DTE and DCE) and makes them available to a DLM server normally running also in the PXS. A DLM monitor decodes and displays the data. Please check LayGO® DLM for additional information. |
