Protocol eXchange Server - PXS

What is it?

The PXS is a small (4.9" x 3.8" x 0.9") external communication server. The PXS hardware platform includes:

• 1 ARM7TDMI-based RISC processor (Samsung S3C4530A)
• 8 MB RAM
• 4 MB Flash memory
• 1 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port
• 2 Synchronous ports with software selectable interface type
• 1 Asynchronous console port

The synchronous port interfaces are configurable for:

• RS-232
• RS-422
• V.35
• RS-485

The RS-232 supports 128 kbps, the RS-422/V.35 2.048 Mbps (E1). The Ethernet port auto-detects 10 or 100 Mbps and a direct or crossover connection. The PXS uses a 100/240 VAC 60/50 Hz switchable power supply.

It has two mounting tabs for easy installation in rack mounted systems.
